Founder and Creative Director, Asa Ige, was born and raised in Maui, Hawaii. After attending Parsons School of Design in New York City, Asa pursued a career in Floral Design as proprietor of Stamens & Pistils, a retail florist, in New York City for twelve years. His Hawaiian heritage inspired him to introduce NYC to exotic tropical cut flowers and foliage. His innovation and quality floral design led to an invitation to be a select Advanced Flower Arrangement instructor at Parsons School of Design in New York.
In 1994, Asa returned to Maui, specializing in custom floral design for hotels, banquets, conventions, special events, weddings, and receptions. In 1999 Asa Flowers floral design studio was founded, focusing on custom designs for the unique needs of the visitor & wedding industry.
